Historic Victory from Zeynep Sönmez: Third Round for the First Time at the Australian Open
Our national tennis player Ms. Zeynep Sönmez, who advanced to the main draw from the qualifiers, defeated her Hungarian opponent Ms. Anna Bondar 6-2, 6-4 in 1 hour and 30 minutes in the Australian Open second-round match, becoming the first Turkish tennis player to reach the third round in Australian Open history.
