Pickleball Level 1 Assistant Coach Training Course Started at Taçspor
The Pickleball Level 1 Assistant Coach Training Course, to be held at the Istanbul Taçspor Club between February 23–27, 2026, has started. The five-day training program aims to develop the technical, tactical, and pedagogical competencies of the coach candidates regarding the pickleball branch.
Planned with the aim of sustainably popularizing the rapidly developing pickleball branch in Türkiye, the course offers a holistic coaching perspective with its theoretical and practical training contents. Within the scope of the program, participants are equipped with contemporary training approaches as well as branch-specific basic knowledge and skills.
Comprehensive and Multi-Dimensional Training Content
In accordance with the five-day lesson program, coach candidates undergo an intensive training process on technical-tactical applications, as well as fundamental topics such as specific training knowledge, general principles of pickleball, and competition rules.
Prominent topics in the training program include:
Movement training and educational games specific to pickleball
Racket grip and ball control
Ready position and basic footwork
Dink and drop shots
Serve and serve return techniques
Adapted game applications
Measurement and evaluation processes
In addition, while contemporary education methodologies are addressed under the title "Current approaches in pickleball teaching and holistic coaching perspective" in the program, topics related to the ethical and social dimensions of coaching—such as creating a safe sports environment, communication, and communication channels—are also covered comprehensively.
The course, conducted by expert academics and trainers in their fields, draws attention with its practical contents based on the transfer of theoretical knowledge to the court. In the program, where technical-tactical studies are intensively included, it is aimed to develop the participants' skills in planning both individual and group training.
