Türkiye Tennis Federation President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil made the following evaluation regarding the agreement:
"We are highly pleased to sign such a comprehensive cooperation agreement with one of the strongest countries in world tennis like Spain. This memorandum covers not only the exchange of athletes and coaches but also the mutual sharing of high-performance structures, club-based development models, and especially professional systems in wheelchair tennis.
As Türkiye, we have significantly developed our facility infrastructure and organizational capacity in recent years. Now, we aim to create a sustainable high-performance model by strengthening this infrastructure with international know-how. It is extremely valuable for the future of Turkish tennis, especially for our young athletes to be introduced to the high-level competitive environment in Spain and for our coaches to have the opportunity to work with different methodologies. I believe that this agreement will turn into long-term, concrete, and result-oriented projects for the tennis communities of both countries."
RFET President Miguel Díaz Román used the following expressions in his evaluation regarding the cooperation:
"We are very proud to be in active cooperation with the Türkiye Tennis Federation. Spain is a globally strong country in the fields of tennis and wheelchair tennis, and I believe that the experience we have can make significant contributions to the development of sports in a sister country, Türkiye.
The foundation of Spanish tennis lies in our clubs, our coaches, and the numerous tournaments we organize. We have significantly professionalized the coaching structure, especially in wheelchair tennis, and today we have athletes ranking at the top of the world standings. Türkiye's advanced facilities, favorable climate, and growing sports structure present a great opportunity for the implementation of this model. We are also pleased that while sharing our experience, we will also have the opportunity to learn from different educational models. We believe this is a unique opportunity for both Türkiye and Spain to grow together through tennis, and we support this initiative with full commitment."
Strategic Roadmap Until 2028
The parties will follow the cooperation process through regular meetings and coordination mechanisms, and will offer international competition opportunities to young athletes through the implementation of joint camps and exchange programs.
While this strategic agreement strengthens tennis diplomacy between Türkiye and Spain, it is evaluated as an important step for a sustainable and professional structuring, especially in wheelchair tennis.
