Turkish Tennis Federation Launches the “Tennis Ambassadors” Project to Promote the Sport of Tennis

The Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) is launching the “Tennis Ambassadors” project with the aim of promoting the sport of tennis across the country and increasing access to it. The project seeks to establish a volunteer network that supports the local development of tennis and helps spread tennis culture nationwide.

Tennis Culture to Be Strengthened Through Local Volunteers

As part of the project, individuals and communities passionate about tennis will be brought together to form a local-level Volunteer Network. These volunteers will receive training and play an active role in introducing and promoting tennis in their respective regions.

Tennis Ambassadors Will Become a Key Strategic Partner of the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF)

Tennis Ambassadors will be positioned as reliable local partners in TTF’s regional projects. Ambassadors selected from each province will work in close coordination with TTF’s provincial representatives to contribute to the growth of tennis and the development of tennis culture at the local level. These representatives, along with the ambassadors, will collaborate with local governments, schools, sports clubs, and sponsors to organize and promote tennis events.

Sustainable Growth Through Partnerships and Strategic Planning

The project will also focus on forming partnerships with local authorities, schools, and the private sector. Needs related to tennis will be regularly reported to support TTF’s strategic planning. A flexible structure will be built around volunteer contributions, and the project will be reviewed and enhanced by TTF every year.

Tennis Culture Will Be Spread to Broader Communities

With the “Tennis Ambassadors” project TTF aims to make tennis accessible to wider audiences, increase its popularity among young people, and strengthen the sport at the grassroots level. In this way, social solidarity will be strengthened, and tennis will become a way of life across Türkiye.

The Türkiye Tennis Federation aims to increase interest in tennis through this project and to establish a sustainable tennis ecosystem nationwide. Anyone who wishes to become a tennis volunteer can join the project and become part of the local tennis movement!

Expressing their excitement at taking another important step for the future of Turkish tennis, TTF President Şafak Müderrisgil stated the following remarks about the project:

As the Turkish Tennis Federation, we are launching our “Tennis Ambassadors” project to make tennis more accessible across the country and to expand its reach to broader segments of society from the grassroots level. The primary goal of our project is to support the development of tennis at the local level and to establish a volunteer network that promotes tennis culture. This initiative aims to introduce people of all ages and skill levels to tennis, increase access to the sport, and encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits.

Promoting tennis at the local level offers numerous social and individual benefits. First and foremost, making the sport accessible to more people will help encourage healthy living. Tennis is a sport that strengthens not only physical health but also mental and emotional well-being. Especially for young people, tennis contributes significantly to the development of discipline, focus, and self-confidence. Thanks to this project, individuals of all ages will be able to benefit from the many advantages that tennis offers.

Strengthening tennis infrastructure at the local level not only supports the development of athletes but also contributes to local economies. We believe that this project will create many economic opportunities, such as the increase in tennis clubs, the provision of coaching services, and the growth of the tennis equipment market. In addition, local tournaments to be organized will help boost regional tourism and allow tennis to reach a broader audience.

The expansion of tennis at the local level will also lay a strong foundation for the international success of Turkish tennis. Young talents will be discovered, development opportunities will be provided, and the groundwork will be laid for a stronger global representation of Turkish tennis. We believe that talented athletes can emerge from every village, town, and city. We are confident that our “Tennis Ambassadors” project will help unlock this potential and increase the love for tennis throughout our country. We would like to thank all the volunteers who have supported us in this process and invite every citizen to discover tennis and become a part of this wonderful sport.
