Şafak MÜDERRİSGİL Şafak MÜDERRİSGİL

Şafak Müderrisgil was elected President of the Turkish Tennis Federation in 2024. Between 2023 and 2024, she served as a Board Member of the Turkish Football Federation. During this period, she oversaw the federation’s work in legal affairs, sustainability, and women’s football; led the establishment of the Women’s Football Department; and designed TFF’s first Women’s Football Strategy. She also led the preparation of the federation’s first Sustainability Strategy and coordinated various international collaborations, including EU-funded projects.

In addition to her experience in sports administration, she has also worked extensively in the fields of sustainable development and social impact. In 2020, she founded Etkiyap, Türkiye’s first impact investing platform, and currently serves as Chair of its Board. She has chaired the National Advisory Board on Impact Investing (EYDK) since its establishment in 2021 and, as of 2024, serves as a Trustee of GSG Impact, a global impact investing network. Within Etkiyap, she led the preparation process of Türkiye’s first Social Impact Bond.

She pursued her legal career by specializing in corporate, energy, and environmental law at White & Case LLP. Following this, she served in various roles across public and private sector institutions and held independent board memberships in several national and international organizations. She has also provided consultancy to public institutions in the area of public policy.

She holds both LLB and LLM degrees from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University and earned a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government. She has also completed executive education programs at Oxford Saïd Business School and Harvard Kennedy School.


In 2021, she was recognized by Euclid Network as one of Europe’s Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise, and in 2023, she received the “Sustainability Leader” award from InBusiness Magazine.

Ali Rıza CEYLAN Ali Rıza CEYLAN

Ali Rıza Ceylan was born in Diyarbakır in 1976 and graduated from LA Sierra University, Department of Business Administration in California, USA in 2001.

In 2001, Mr. Ceylan started his business career at Ceylan Construction Inc., a family-owned company, and in 2003, he founded Cey Invesment Inc., where he still serves as CEO.He built experience across the construction, energy, IT, and communication sectors. He also led the company’s expansion into diverse areas and delivered projects that contribute to economic development.

In addition to his position at CEY Investment Inc., Ali Rıza Ceylan serves on the boards Ceylan Construction Inc., Ceyen Construction, and Ceyjet Aviation.

Ali Rıza Ceylan is actively involved in social responsibility initiative and is one of the founding members of the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction and has previously served on the boards of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the Turkish Physically Disabled Sports Federation, and the Turkish Orienteering Federation. Between 2019 and 2022, he served as vice president of the Antalya 07 Women’s Basketball Team, of which he was also the owner. He is currently a congress member of Beşiktaş JK.

Ali Rıza Ceylan is married and has 3 children.


Berk ALBAYRAK Berk ALBAYRAK

Berk Albayrak was born in 1970 in Ankara. He is married and has one child.

Albayrak started playing tennis in his childhood and represented Turkey many times between 1986 and 1997, including Turkey Tennis "Stars", "Juniors", and "A Team" categories. He is the Turkish champion in men's doubles and second place in men's singles in Turkey.

He continued his education in Ankara, completing both his undergraduate (1993) and master’s (1993–1995) degrees in Civil Engineering at METU (Middle East Technical University).

After a period in the private sector, he joined the General Directorate of State Airports Authority under the Turkish Ministry of Transport Infrastructure and worked in this institution for 10 years. He later joined the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport project with Limak Holding, served as Manager, Director, and Deputy General Manager for 16 years. He retired after serving as the CEO of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. He is currently the Project Director of An Airport Construction Project in Kuwait.


Ebru ÖZDEMİR Ebru ÖZDEMİR

Ebru Özdemir graduated from TED Ankara College and Boğaziçi University, Department of Civil Engineering, and completed her MBA in International Finance and Business Management at Fordham University. Özdemir is a member of the Board of Directors of Foreign Economic Relations Board, President of the Turkey-Spain Business Council under Directors of Foreign Economic Relations Board, and a member of the Executive Board of Türkiye-U.S. Business Council. Özdemir is also a member of the Turkish Industry and Business Association and the World Economic Forum (WEF), and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Endeavor Turkey.

Özdemir, who is a member of the Working Party on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) until 2022, is a member of the Board of Directors of the 30 Percent Club Turkey and Women in Technology Association (WTECH), of which she is one of the founders. Özdemir, is a member of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and the International Women’s Forum Turkey (IWF), which is formed by women leaders on a global scale. She serves as a member on the Board of Trustees of Boğaziçi University, the Advisory Board of the Vodafone Foundation, the Advisory Board of Ankara Science University and the High Advisory Board of Darüşşafaka Society. In addition, she is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Atlantic Council, one of the most prestigious think tanks in the world, and a member of the Advisory Board of MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Alongside her position as Chairperson of the Board of Directors Limak Holding and its group companies, Ebru Özdemir also serves as the Chairperson of the Limak Foundation, which was established in 2016 and leads numerous national and international social investment programs, including Engineer Girls of Türkiye, Global Engineer Girls, and the Limak Philharmonic Orchestra.


Eda SEVAİOĞLU TAN Eda SEVAİOĞLU TAN

Eda Sevaioğlu Tan is a specialized professional with extensive experience in marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, sales, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and retail for over 25 years. She first worked for global companies Unilever, Procter & Gamble and Pfizer for a total of 18 years and then served as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Anadolu Group.

She has held various senior positions both in Turkey and within the global teams of Unilever and P&G, managing multicultural and international projects. In her 8-year career at Unilever, she served as 'Marketing Director' for Personal Care categories. She lived in Shanghai, China for three years, where she served as Sales Director and led category and customer initiatives across Asia. In addition, she stepped into the world of entrepreneurship and founded a digital start-up company and managed this venture as CEO for five years.

To share her academic and professional expertise, she taught digital marketing and e-commerce courses at Boğaziçi University for two years, contributing to the development of future talent in the industry. She currently supports brand growth by offering strategic consultancy in digital marketing and e-commerce.

Eda Sevaioğlu Tan is also actively involved in social responsibility projects. She serves as the Chair of the Board of Make-A-Wish Türkiye Association. She is also a board member of the ATMA Association and a member of the Women on Board Association.

Eda Sevaioğlu Tan holds a degree in Civil Engineering from METU (Middle East Technical University) and earned her MBA from Bilkent University on a full scholarship. She holds a Digital Marketing certificate from Duke University.

In her personal life, Eda Sevaioğlu Tan has a passion for tennis. Eda Sevaioğlu Tan has been playing since the age of 10 and competed in the Turkish Classifications and Turkish Tennis League until the age of 16. For the past 10 years, she has been actively playing veteran tennis and is also the parent of a young tennis player.


Ertunç TÜMEN Ertunç TÜMEN

Ak Asset Management CMO

Ertunç Tümen, CFA, graduated from ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1994 and completed his master's degree in Business Administration at Bilkent University in 1997.

He is an investment professional who has been working, writing, and thinking about the advancement of capital markets and economic development in Turkey since 1998. He is also one of the first finance professionals in Turkey to hold the Chartered Finance Analyst designation. He has extensive experience in Asset Management products and services.

As of 2006, Mr. Tümen was a member of the senior management team that transforned the institution into the largest asset management company in Turkey one of the top 500 asset management companies in the world. Prior to that, he served as the Head of Marketing, Deposit and Investment Products Department at Akbank where he was responsible for in One-to-One Banking and served as Assistant General Manager responsible for Investments at Ak Asset Management.

Between 2013 and 2016, he served as the President of the CFA Society of Istanbul and was selected twice as the " Global Volunteer of the Year" by the CFA in 2014 and 2020 for his efforts in training finance professionals at international standards in Turkey.

In 2022, his book “An Individual's Journey to Excellence” was recognized as the Inspirational Business Book of the Year for 2023.

Throughout his career, he has played important role in the developing innovative products and services for investors. He is married and has two daughters.


Esra HATİPOĞLU Esra HATİPOĞLU


Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian High School, and later earned degrees from the Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) at Marmara University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Department of Economics at Anadolu University’s Faculty of Economics. She earned her master’s degree in European Studies from the European Community Institute at Marmara University, and in Russian and Post-Soviet Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a PhD in European Studies from the European Community Institute at Marmara University.

In 1992, she started her academic career as a Research Assistant at the European Community Institute at Marmara University, and served as a faculty member in the departments of Public Administration and International Relations in French within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, until 2016.


Between 2002 and 2005, she served as the Deputy Director of the Middle East Research Institute at Marmara University. From 2014 to 2015, she held the position of Founding Chair of the Department of International Economics within the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science at Marmara University. She became an Associate Professor of International Relations in 2007 and a professor in 2013. She was appointed as the Rector of Nişantaşı University between 2016-2019, and as the Rector’s Advisor for International Relations at Bahçeşehir University from 2021 to 2023. In September 2023, she was appointed as the Rector of Bahçeşehir University.

Hatipoğlu's master's course EU Enlargement and Eurasia (C01/058) at the European Community Institute of Marmara University was supported by the European Commission within the framework of the Jean Monnet Permanent Course program between 2001-2005. She has received scholarships and fellowships such as the Jean Monnet Scholarship, the UN Nippon Foundation Fellowship, and the European University Institute Research Grant. Her awards include the Marmara University Excellence Achievement Awards, the Strategic Visionary Scientist Award from the Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies, and the Medal for Contributions to Science and Education (Bulgaria).

Hatipoğlu has supervised numerous master's and doctoral theses so far, and is currently a member of the editorial, advisory, and review boards of several national and international journals. She has authored various publications and led projects in the international arena. Between 2018 and 2020, she is a member of professional organizations such as the International Relations Council Association, European Women Rectors Association (EWORA), Women in International Security (Washington DC), of which she was also the vice president.


With a background as a professional athlete, Hatipoğlu has contributed to the integration of sports into education by leading various initiatives and projects focused on encouraging youth participation in sports and promoting healthy lifestyles. Her efforts aim to strengthen the role of sports in education from K–12 through to the university level, both nationally and internationally.

Prof. Dr. Hatipoğlu has focused her academic research over the past eight years aligned with her leadership roles, on topics such as Turkish higher education, the changing and evolving structure of education in Türkiye and globally, and the impact of artificial intelligence on education.

Hakan ERTÜRK Hakan ERTÜRK

He was born in Ankara in 1977 and graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics in 2000. Between 2006 and 2008, he successfully completed the MBA program in Finance at the University of Illinois in the United States. He successfully completed his PhD in Business Administration at Ankara University Institute of Social Sciences in 2018 with a doctoral thesis focused on venture capital.

Started his career at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) in 2000. He served as a Treasury Controller from 2000 to 2006 and as an Internal Auditor from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, he was appointed as the Head of the Department for the Development of Financial Instruments and Markets, Undersecretariat of Treasury, and in 2016, he was appointed as the General Directorate of Financial Markets and Foreign Exchange. Between August 2019 and August 2021, he held the position of Head of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, where he was responsible for implementing European Union programs.

He was reappointed as General Directorate of Financial Markets and Foreign Exchange in August 2021. As of June 2022, he started to work as the General Manager of Etki Investment Inc., a subsidiary of Kızılay Investment Holding, to operate in the field of impact investing. In addition to this duty, he was appointed as the General Director of Finance and Financial Affairs of the Turkish Red Crescent Society in December 2023. Beyond these responsibilities, he served as a Board Member at the Credit Guarantee Fund, Vice Chair of the Board at the Development and Investment Bank of Turkey, and both Investment Committee Member and Board Member of the Turkey Growth and Innovation Fund managed European Investment Fund. In October 2024, he was appointed by the IFRC General Assembly as the Chair of the Finance Commission of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC).

Hakan Ertürk is married, has 3 children, and speaks fluent English.


İpek SOYLU ŞEMİN İpek SOYLU ŞEMİN

İpek Soylu Şemin was born in Adana in 1996. After completing her primary and secondary education in Adana, she started playing tennis at the age of 6 at Adana Tennis, Mountaineering and Water Sports Club. At the age of 13, she transferred to ENKA Sports Club in Istanbul and rose to 13th place in the world ranking in the junior category. This ranking is still the highest in the history of Turkish tennis.

İpek Soylu became the first and youngest Turkish athlete to participate in a Grand Slam tournament, competing in the main draw of Junior Wimbledon at the age of 15. At 17, she won the US Open Junior Doubles Championship and brought the first Grand Slam title to Turkey. After the junior category, she started to compete in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, reaching number 151 in singles and number 69 in doubles at the age of 19. She became the Turkish tennis player with the most WTA titles by winning three doubles championships. Throughout her career, she trained in Turkey, America, Sweden and Belgium and participated in tournaments in 55 different countries. Since the age of 12, she has successfully represented her country in every age category, including the National A Team.


Following an injury at the age of 27, she decided to continue her career in a different direction and started to share her experiences with young athletes by establishing İpek Soylu Semin Foundation. At the same time, she continues her education in sports management. İpek Soylu Şemin, who is married and has one child, is on the Board of Directors of the Turkish Tennis Federation for the 2025-2028 period.

İsmail Hakkı KURT İsmail Hakkı KURT

He was born in Samsun in 1982. He completed his secondary and high school education at Samsun Atatürk Anatolian High School, earned his undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Marmara University, and obtained his master's degree in Health Management from Ondokuz Mayıs University.​

Since 2009, he has been working as a freelance pharmacist in Samsun. He took part in the Board of Directors of the Pharmetic Entrepreneurial Pharmacists Association and Samsun Tennis Club.

He is involved in tennis as an active licensed athlete. He has championships and degrees in many national and international tournaments organized by TTF and ITF.


Kaan ARSLAN Kaan ARSLAN

Following his graduation from TED Ankara College, he pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Middle East Technical University (METU), graduating in 1988.

Upon completing his MBA at Bilkent University, he started his career at Interbank, where he held various positions between 1990 and 1998.

Finally, after serving as Interbank Izmir Branch Manager between 1994-1998, he held the position of Assistant General Manager at Bayındırbank (1998-2001), Ziraat Bank (2001-2003), and Finansbank (2005-2010). 

Since 2010, he holds positions as a member of the Executive Board and the Board of Directors at a private company.
