Cooperation Protocol Signed Between the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Tennis Federation
A significant cooperation protocol has been signed between the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) to promote tennis among primary and secondary school students and to foster a culture of sports.
The protocol aims to reach 180,000 students across 360 primary and secondary schools in all 81 provinces. The project, which was implemented with the vision of “Tennis for All,” seeks to expand the reach of tennis to broader audiences, introduce children to sports at an early age, and promote tennis culture at the grassroots level.
TTF President Şafak Müderrisgil shared the following remarks regarding the protocol:
“With the vision of ‘Tennis for All,’ we aim to make tennis accessible to wider audiences and promote the sport at the grassroots level. This is a significant step toward fostering a love for tennis, embedding a sporting culture, and nurturing the successful athletes of the future. Our collaboration with the Ministry of National Education will create major opportunities for the growth and expansion of tennis.”
As part of the project, various tennis activities will be organized in primary and secondary schools, students will receive basic training, and special programs will be implemented for teachers to establish a sustainable sports infrastructure. This initiative aims to increase the accessibility of tennis, giving every child the opportunity to engage with and develop through the sport.
Through this valuable collaboration, the Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Tennis Federation aim to encourage children to engage in sports from an early age and to foster the development of a tennis culture in Türkiye.
The protocol signing ceremony took place at the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education with the attendance of Turkish Tennis Federation President Şafak Müderrisgil, Director General of Basic Education, Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education Ebubekir Sıddık Savaşçı, Head of R&D and Projects Department, Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education Ozan Özkaya, and Secretary General of the Turkish Tennis Federation Volkan Akgül.
