Training of Trainers Program in Tennis Successfully Held
The Turkish Tennis Federation has completed a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the development and improving the effectiveness of training for nearly 3000 tennis coaches.
The “Training of Trainers Program,” which included members of the Education Board and Instructor Board, was held at Anadolu University in Eskişehir between February 3-7, 2025.
The “Training of Trainers Program”, held at the Yunus Emre Campus facilities in Eskişehir with the support of Anadolu University, was planned as a training organized to make coaching trainings more efficient. This program aims to improve the skills of trainers who will take part in coaching courses, update training content and eliminate differences between trainers; training of trainers program aims to make updates on important issues such as ensuring that trainers use a common language, determining the topics to be covered in the courses and organizing the exam processes of future courses.
As part of the "Training of Trainers" program, coaching courses conducted in 2024 were evaluated, and a SWOT analysis was carried out based on these assessments. Efforts were made to eliminate discrepancies among trainers in previously held trainer courses. The topics to be covered in coaching education were reviewed and updated by the instructor board. Updates were made regarding the theoretical and practical exams of upcoming trainer courses. To support the planning of courses included in the 2025 activity calendar, the TTF Coach and Coach Candidate Status and Demand Survey was evaluated. Additionally, efforts were made to ensure that a standardized instructional language is used in future courses. Training of Trainers will continue to be held face-to-face and online at certain intervals throughout the year.
