FIP Bronze QNB Cup Begins
INTERNATIONAL EXCITEMENT IN PADEL:
THE FIP BRONZE QNB CUP BEGINS UNDER THE MAIN SPONSORSHIP OF
QNB TÜRKİYE
The FIP Bronze QNB Cup, one of the first international
organizations brought to life within the scope of the cooperation signed
between the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) and QNB Türkiye, has begun.
Featured on the International Padel Federation (FIP) calendar, the tournament
is being held in Istanbul between June 4–7, 2026, and stands as a significant
step forward in terms of developing padel in Türkiye and increasing its
visibility on the international stage.
Organized under the main sponsorship of QNB Türkiye, the
event is being hosted at the Padel House facilities, which operate under the
sponsorship of QNB First. This tournament also holds the distinction of being
the first of the FIP tournaments to be held throughout 2026 under the main
sponsorship of QNB Türkiye in Izmir and Antalya.
At the FIP Bronze QNB Cup, 24 teams and 48 athletes are
competing in the women's category, while 42 teams and 84 athletes are battling
it out in the men's category. Featuring a total of 66 teams and 132 athletes,
the organization draws great attention with its strong international
participation.
Alongside Türkiye, athletes from 27 different countries are
taking to the court, including Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, England, Greece,
Hungary, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Finland, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Georgia, Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Egypt,
Tunisia, Iran, Bahrain, Iraq, and Morocco.
Turkish athletes are also competing with broad participation
in the event. While 16 Turkish athletes feature in the men's main draw and 21
in the women's main draw, 4 Turkish teams are fighting through the men's
qualifiers, and Turkish athletes are also stepping onto the courts in mixed
partnerships.
Matches at the FIP Bronze QNB Cup will commence on Thursday,
June 4 at 11:00. The final matches of the tournament will be played on Sunday,
June 7, where the ranking teams will be determined.
Within the framework of the cooperation realized between the
Turkish Tennis Federation and QNB Türkiye, a comprehensive development model
spanning from training programs to league and cup organizations, and from the
professionalization of technical staff to international tournaments, continues
to be implemented.
With this cooperation, the goal is to popularize padel
nationwide, expand the athlete pool, and reinforce Türkiye's position within
the global padel ecosystem.
