Our National Women's Team Defeats the Netherlands 2-0

Our National Women's Team defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in the Billie Jean King Cup held at the Complexo de Ténis do Jamor facilities in Oeiras, Portugal. 

Captained by Bora Gerçeker and consisting of Ayla Aksu, Berfu Cengiz, İpek Öz, İrem Kurt, and Ada Kumru, our National Women's Team is competing in the BJK Cup Europe/Africa Group I ties between April 7–11.

Having previously defeated Georgia 3-0, our nationals were defeated by Hungary with a 3-0 scoreline. The Crescent-Stars played their final group stage match against the Netherlands. Berfu Cengiz defeated Anouck Vrancken Peeters 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 to put Türkiye ahead 1-0 against the Netherlands. In the second match of the tie, Ayla Aksu faced Suzan Lamens. Ayla Aksu defeated Suzan Lamens 6-2, 6-2, sealing the series at 2-0. Having guaranteed their place in Europe/Africa Group I, our National Women's Team will face Latvia, the runner-up of Group C, tomorrow.
