Details and the Trophy of the Presidency Cup Tennis Tournament Presented to President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by TTF President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil
Information regarding the Presidency Cup Tennis Tournament, held for the first time this year under the auspices of the Presidency, was presented to President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by Turkish Tennis Federation President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil. Ms. Müderrisgil also presented a replica of the Presidency Cup awarded in the tournament to our President at the Atatürk Airport State Guest House.
The tournament, held at the TTF Ankara Tennis Training
Center between October 6-12, 2025, by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the
Turkish Tennis Federation under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic
of Türkiye, was organized with the aim of popularizing the sport of tennis
across Türkiye in line with the "Tennis for All" vision.
A total of 396 athletes ranging in age from 12 to 80
participated in the Presidency Cup Tennis Tournament, organized for the first
time this year, in 28 different categories, and 56 trophies found their owners.
In the information note she submitted to President Erdoğan,
TTF President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil stated that the Presidency Cup has become
one of the most distinguished organizations of Turkish tennis and included the
following statements:
“As the Federation, our primary goal is to spread tennis to
the grassroots and create a lasting tennis culture across our country. As a
concrete reflection of this vision, the Presidency Cup has become the symbol of
an inclusive transformation in Turkish tennis.”
Ms. Müderrisgil also expressed her gratitude to President
Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his patronage of the Presidency Cup and for the
valuable support and contributions he has shown to Turkish tennis.
The tournament, planned to be held every year under the
auspices of the Presidency, is aimed to be held at an international level
starting next year. Thus, the Turkish Tennis Federation aims to crown the
development journey of Turkish tennis on the international platform.
