Turkish Tennis Federation Wins Gold Award at 2025 ITF Advantage All Awards

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the winners of the 2025 ITF Advantage All Awards, which recognize national federations that are pioneers in ensuring gender equality in tennis. At the 2025 ITF Advantage All Awards, Türkiye won the Gold Award, Kenya won the Silver Award, and the USA and Croatia won the Bronze Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the Advantage All Award and Recognition Programme recognizes federations that share the vision of advancing the ITF's Gender Equality Strategy.

The TTF was deemed worthy of the Gold Award for its strategic and long-term approach to improving equal opportunities and leadership possibilities for women in tennis. Being one of only two federations led by a female president among the 63 sports federations in Türkiye, the TTF launched a comprehensive Equal Opportunity Strategy (2025-2028) through its newly created Equal Opportunity Committee.

The TTF's strategy includes a Board Links Mentoring Programme, targeted leadership workshops, and proactive gender balance policies for future board nominations. Winning the $5,000 prize, Türkiye will continue to develop an inclusive tennis culture that creates a lasting cultural impact through its clear vision and structured practices.

ITF President Dave Haggerty said the following in his assessment of the awards: "I congratulate all our Advantage All Award Winners and nominees. Each has demonstrated remarkable leadership and creativity in advancing gender equality in tennis. It is inspiring to see national federations turning commitment into real, measurable change; from leadership pathways to officiating development, and from inclusive governance to cultural progress. As we continue to build a sport that reflects equality at every level, these nations set a powerful example of what collaboration, innovation, and determination can achieve."

TTF President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil made the following remarks regarding the TTF winning the ITF Advantage All Gold Award: "Receiving the ITF Advantage All Gold Award is a very significant recognition for the Turkish Tennis Federation and our country. This award signifies a strong endorsement of our commitment to women's empowerment and inclusivity by ensuring access to tennis for every girl and woman, regardless of their background. It confirms that our strategy of embedding strong female leadership and growing the sport from the grassroots is effective and globally recognized. We believe that empowering women and fostering an inclusive culture are fundamental essentials for the future success of Turkish sports."
