Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak Guest On “Bizim Kort”

Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak participated as a guest on the Turkish Tennis Federation’s new YouTube show, “Bizim Kort.”

Speaking as a guest on the Turkish Tennis Federation’s (TTF) YouTube program, "Bizim Kort," Minister Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak made several assessments. The program, moderated by Turkish Tennis Federation President Şafak Müderrisgil, also featured national athletes Ada Kumru, İrem Kurt, and Su Mandacı, as well as Turkish Olympic Preparation Center (TOHM) athletes Artun Polat, Ekin Selen Sever, and Doruk Ege Şahin.

Responding to questions, Minister Bak stated that the opening of the Turkish Tennis Federation Ankara Tennis Training Center is of great importance for the development of Turkish tennis.

Emphasizing that the Ministry of Youth and Sports values tennis as much as every other sport, Minister Bak said, “In line with the instructions of our President, we are building youth and sports facilities everywhere, even in neighborhoods and villages. The Ankara Tennis Training Center is one of them. I see this facility as the main window for Turkish tennis. The new facility is important for increasing the number of tournaments and growing the interest of Ankara's residents in tennis. We have tennis facilities in Istanbul that we built in collaboration with the federation. We have built indoor and outdoor courts in Şırnak. Turkish tennis is on an upward trajectory. I believe that our tennis players will achieve significant success in international tournaments in the future. I think that our federation should increase the number of competitions between schools and clubs to popularize tennis. We, as the Ministry, will support President Şafak Müderrisgil and her team, whose enthusiasm we share.”

Turkish Tennis Federation President Şafak Müderrisgil, in her speech, emphasized that they see the opening of the Ankara Tennis Training Center as the beginning of a new era for Turkish tennis, stating:

"The Ministry of Youth and Sports, with its facility development vision carried out across Türkiye, aims to make every sport more accessible, to bring young people together with modern amenities, and to ensure that our country is more strongly represented in the international arena. The Ankara Tennis Training Center, which we have opened for service, stands out as one of the most important steps for the sport of tennis within this vision. For tennis to reach wider audiences, facility development holds great importance. We are presenting the Ankara Tennis Training Center, which we have just opened, to the service of both our citizens and our athletes. Very soon, we will continue our facility development offensive in Turkish tennis by bringing our Istanbul facility to life, followed by our Izmir facility. We extend our thanks to our Ministry of Youth and Sports, which has always been by our side throughout this process."
