Ahmet Kaplan Reaches the Semifinals at Wimbledon

Our athlete Ahmet Kaplan, competing in the Quad Division at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season, has advanced to the semifinals.

World No. 4 Ahmet Kaplan faced world No. 5 British player Andy Lapthorne in the quad singles quarterfinals at Wimbledon. Defeating the home Lapthorne 6-2, 1-6, 6-2, Kaplan advanced to the semifinals in the Wimbledon quad division, marking a historic first for Turkish tennis.

Ahmet will take on world No. 1 Niels Vink in the quad semifinals on Friday, 11 July.

Ahmet Kaplan, partnering with Sam Schroder as the No. 2 seeds, will face Gregory Slade and Donald Ramphadi in the doubles semifinals on Thursday, 10 July, with the match scheduled to start no earlier than 3:00 PM TRT.
