Ahmet Kaplan Takes Second Place in Quad Doubles at Roland-Garros
Our athlete Ahmet Kaplan, competing in the Quad category at this year’s second Grand Slam tournament, Roland-Garros, achieved a historic success in doubles by taking second place together with his partner Donald Ramphadi.
World No. 4 Ahmet Kaplan and his South African partner Donald Ramphadi advanced to the final in the Roland-Garros Quad category after defeating the No. 2 seeds Sam Schroder/Andy Lapthorne 6-3, 2-6, 10-7. In the final, the Kaplan/Ramphadi duo faced the top seeds Guy Sasson/Niels Vink. After a match lasting 1 hour and 29 minutes, Kaplan and Ramphadi were defeated 6-3, 6-4 and finished the tournament in second place.
