Press Conference Held for the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour World Championships

The press conference for the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour World Championships, recognized as the most prestigious event on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Masters calendar, was held at Ali Bey Club Manavgat in Antalya. The tournament will take place from 9 to 22 March 2025.

The tournament will welcome over 850 players from 30 countries, competing in four different age categories between 30 and 45 years old, with 126 teams taking part. The press conference was attended by President of the Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) Şafak Müderrisgil, ITF Board Member David Rawlinson, and General Manager of Club Alibey Manavgat Kerem Kutbay.

Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) President Şafak Müderrisgil emphasized the Federation’s pride and honour in hosting the ITF World Tennis Masters Tour World Championships, highlighting that Antalya has become a prominent tennis destination not only in Türkiye but also around the world. She went on to share details about the two-week event, stating: “In this prestigious event, teams in the 30–45 age range will compete in four age categories from 9–14 March 2025. In the second week, from 15–22 March, the competition will continue with individual events. Over 850 players from 30 countries and 126 teams will compete in the unique atmosphere of Antalya. With its stunning nature, year-round sunny climate, and modern tennis infrastructure, Antalya has become one of the most preferred cities for players of all ages. At today's opening ceremony at 16:30, national teams from 30 countries will come together. In this international event, Türkiye will be represented by 32 players across four age groups. This two-week tennis celebration will officially begin with matches starting tomorrow.”

Highlighting that one of TTF’s key missions is to promote tennis at all ages and levels, Müderrisgil continued:

“This globally recognised tournament not only reinforces Türkiye’s growing success in international tennis but also contributes significantly to the development of tennis tourism. We are pleased to continue our close cooperation with the ITF to support the global growth of tennis and its expansion across Türkiye. We hope that this championship, taking place in the unique natural setting of Manavgat and the modern facilities of Club Alibey, will be a memorable experience filled with lasting moments for both the players and the spectators. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for making it possible for us to host this championship, to the International Tennis Federation for their continued partnership, to Club Alibey Manavgat for their outstanding hospitality, and to all stakeholders involved. Within the scope of our Tennis for All vision, we hope that every player and spectator participating in this championship will enjoy a memorable experience. I extend my heartfelt respect and best wishes.”

ITF Board Member David Rawlinson stated:

On behalf of the ITF, I am delighted to be at Club Alibey in Türkiye for the 2025 ITF World Tennis Masters Tour Team and Individual Championships, held for players in the 30, 35, 40, and 45 age categories

As the ITF, we have enjoyed a long-standing and excellent relationship with the Turkish Tennis Federation and Club Alibey, under which we have organized numerous ITF events over the years. As the ITF Masters World Championships, we hold many fond memories at Club Alibey and look forward to coming together once again for another exceptional event in 2025.

I would like to extend my thanks to TTF President Şafak Müderrisgil for hosting a range of ITF Masters events in Türkiye, and for organizing this World Championship, which inspires people from all over the world to continue playing tennis.

I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Kerem Kutbay and the Club Alibey Board of Directors for their incredible support and outstanding hospitality throughout these events. As Club Alibey is a well-known tennis venue in the global tennis community, particularly among Masters players, we are especially pleased to be here today. This week, we look forward to witnessing an excellent World Team Championship featuring the participation of 126 teams from 30 countries.

We look forward to spending two fantastic weeks at Club Alibey, both on and off the court, and to watching world’s best players compete for the championship title in their respective age categories. Thank you again for your support, and I hope you all enjoy the event.”

Club Alibey Manavgat General Manager Kerem Kutbay added: “As Ali Bey Hotels & Resorts, we are proud to be hosting this prestigious tournament for the 14th time.

Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the spirit and values of tennis and to witness once again how players of all ages continue this incredible sport with passion. With competitions held in the 30, 35, 40, and 45 age categories, this prestigious tournament makes a significant contribution to the tennis community. Players will be striving for both individual success and team victories. This is more than just a competition, it is a celebration of the universal values of sport: friendship, solidarity, and determination.

The tournament will offer each player the opportunity to bring to the court the experience, knowledge, and strategy they have gained over the years, and perform at their highest level. One of the most defining aspects of tennis is that it is a sport that requires not only physical strength, but also strategy, mental resilience, and team spirit. I wish all participants the best of luck and firmly believe that everyone will deliver their best performance, making this event a truly memorable one.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our organizing team and all participants who helped make this event possible. With its unifying and inspiring power, tennis plays a vital role in promoting health, happiness, and strength around the world.

I wish everyone a successful tournament that we will all enjoy watching.”

The ITF World Tennis Masters Tour World Championships will officially begin with the opening ceremony scheduled for 16:30 on Saturday, 8 March 2025.
